Half Distance:

Swim :: 1.2 Miles
Participants will be treated to a unique 1.2 mile swim in the Monongahela River, known locally as the Mon River. Morgantown has arranged for the Mon River Dam and the Mon River Lock upriver to be turned off during the swim portion of the race. This will virtually eliminate any current in the river and allow for a narrow rectangle course to be used for the swim. The swim exit will be just 20 meters from the entrance of the transition area.

Bike :: 56 Miles
This challenging 56 mile bike will now feature a 2 loop course on the rolling country roads north of the city. Participants will return to cheering crowds in the Transition Area after lap #1 before heading back out on lap #2. Aid stations will be found at the turn-around on Route 100 and at the TA turn-around. Water, fluid replacement, ice and Hammer Gel will be available. Water and HEED fluid replacement will be in water bottles. 39 x 23 gearing is recommend for this course.

Run :: 13.1 Miles
A 2 lap run course through downtown Morgantown and the paved bike path. Water, HEED fluid replacement, Hammer Gel, Ice, and various foods will be available approximately every mile.
